Zdravo!

My name is Martin Grubic, and I am one of the F1N pioneers in Serbia.
This year we had our first competition in February 22nd.

It all began thanx to our neighbours from Croatia who have developed F1N Indoor Hand Launched Glider category trough schools for more than 5 years and beside school competitions they also have more than ten real F1N tournamets, trough the fall and winter. "Grown up" FF modeling masters are compeeting side by side with the talented schoolchildren and we all have fun!

Curently we adopted the following competition system:
- Competitors are called in pairs or groups, and they make 3 flights one after another, start is commanded by official speaker
- There are 3 rounds like that which gives 9 flights total (as required by FAI).
- Competitiors are not alowed to move around the court untill all models have landed.
- To make the competition more interesting, for II and III round the starting order is made by reversing the current result standings. (so the best 2 or 3 will start together at the end of round "one against another")

Also, there is a sub-category designed for children, the F1N 150:
The model wing span is limited to 150mm and competitor is allowed to use the rubber catapult launcher (handle stick is limited to 150mm also).

I am very happy to see that this beautifull discipline is very popular in Poland, so next seasson you may expect to be called to visit and compeete with us!

I got one question.

"handle stick is limited to 150mm also"

I understand from these sentence that lenght of wing is limited to 150mm, am I wrong ?? If I`m right, why the lenght is so small ?? Once year i`ve got competition in F1N and all people use models such like this [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. I have never measured lenght of that wing but it`s about 400mm-500mm. Where the different comes from ?
